Enhancing Accounting and Audit Quality In Georgia
The Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision (SARAS) is a subdivision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Established as an oversight body under the Law on Accounting, Reporting and Auditing of June 2016, SARAS is responsible for state supervision of accounting, reporting, auditing and professional education.
The Hellenic Accounting and Auditing Standards Oversight Board (HAASOB) is the only competent authority of the accounting and auditing profession in Greece. HAASOB introduces and supervises the correct and effective implementation of accounting and auditing standards to secure auditing quality and ensure compliance of statutory auditors and audit firms with international auditing standards and the Code of Ethics of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
The Centre of International and European Economic Law (CIEEL), which was established in 1978, is an organization that primarily promotes academic research and provides advisory support to public authorities. Since 1998, CIEEL has successfully implemented 32 twinning projects. It is responsible for the administration of this project.
